Byte Back

Effective October 22, 2026

The short version: Byte Back collects no personal data. It doesn't even have permission to use the internet.

Byte Back is made by Gigawatt Games, the games label of Clocktower Development LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the game collects and why.

What we collect

Nothing. Byte Back doesn't send any personal information to us or anyone else.

What stays on your device

This is saved on your phone or tablet and never sent to us:

Scores, progress, and the player name you enter
Game settings

Sharing

You can make a score card picture and share it through your phone's share sheet, or save it to your photos. We never receive it.

Who we share it with

There's nothing to share: the game doesn't collect anything.

Children

Byte Back has no ads and nothing to buy with real money. It doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13: everything stays on the device.

Keeping and deleting data

Everything is stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
